We are just a regular family who loves traveling, 2 young parents and a 4 year old boy who seem to share our passion for exploring the world. Our lives have fundamentally changed when he was born. We realized that life means much more than a pay-check, performance evaluations and happy customers.
To be able to enjoy family life, we took a break from our “normal” busy lives to focus more on a new beginning in three. In June 2018, we embarked on a year-long adventure around the world. We’ve seen extraordinary places in the Caribbeans, South America and South-East Asia.
Now that we returned home, we plan to explore our country, Romania, and other nearby countries. We’ve been to 49 countries on 5 continents, out of which 26 countries together with our little son; but we still have a long list to go!
The Team
Alina – Finance professional with 10 years multinational experience, turned into full time traveler by the desire to enjoy everything life has to offer. Alina is responsible for writing and all the communication & PR for The Happy Kid.
Andrei – Entrepreneur by nature, dentist by profession, Andrei ran his own business in the medical field for 8 years. Left it all to travel because life is to short to live in one place only. Andrei is responsible for the photo and video content for The Happy Kid and for most of the crazy ideas.
Eric – Young & restless toddler, he is the core of The Happy Kid, the reason the whole thing started. He was happy to visit 25 countries so far and plans to have a passport full of stamps by the time he starts school.
What we do
We periodically write about our life as a family, focused on our greatest passion, travel. You will find here our experiences as we wander the world with a young kid, but also holiday memories from the past or tips and facts to help you plan and arrange your travels better.
